Red Home Folders provides an opportunity for you to view the kinds of information your student is learning and support them in all areas of learning. Checking your student's Home Folder regularly is an important way to stay connected with their learning.
Mail will come home almost every day in their red Home Folder. Please check their Home Folder regularly to make sure you are getting all the classroom and school happenings.
The first month of school upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers 0-50, and sight words will come home. They will come home in the form of flash cards. Please use these throughout the year to assist in your student learning these foundational Kindergarten skills.
Reading at Home
Each month a reading log calendar will come home in the home folders. Keep these and track your students reading. At the end of each month your child can turn them in for a prize or coupon.
Research has proven that one of the most influential ways families can be involved with their children's public education is by reading with them. It is recommended to read with a child for 20 minutes a night. This can be you reading a story to them or them browsing books with you.
